James King remembers the day he tasted his first good wine as if it were yesterday. He continues his passionate pursuit today as an event & marketing consultant, and a wine tasting & tour guide. He teaches others about wine and wine collecting. Those who attend his memorable events, whether in-person or virtual, inevitably leave with valuable “real world” information and an increased appreciation for wine. James is well traveled and has visited wine regions around the country, as well as around the world including Chile, France, Italy and Spain. He can be characterized by his love for food, his passion for wine, his continuous traveling, and his enjoyment of time with family and friends!

WINE TASTINGS
Let James select and serve a wine tasting at your home, place of business or virtually. Learn to discern between vintages, varietals, and vineyards with a one-of-a-kind wine tasting experience. Invite your friends or colleagues to explore, taste and enjoy distinctive wines selected for you and your group’s taste and budget, chosen and served by James himself. Unique insight, anecdotes, and wine will all be generously supplied.
FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS
Food paired with wine adds dimension to tastings. Cabernet with chocolate, Chardonnay with garlicy chicken, Sauvignon Blanc with seared ahi tuna, Rose with mozarrella melon salad, and cheeses paired with different varietals can be dramatic. All great things to experience on a KGE Tour or Virtual Food & Wine Pairings selecting foods from coordinating with local restaurants or creating a menu of items.
WINE TOURS BY DESIGN
Select the region you would like to tour and KGE will design a tour package to accommodate your interests, group and budget. A tour can include winery tours and tastings, local attractions, restaurant food and wine pairings, or a combination of those. James’ knowledge of wine and regions will take you through a great adventure.
WINEMAKER DINNERS
Experience unique opportunities to combine fine dining in intimate and elegant settings with notable area winemakers, or go virtual with local takeouts. Get firsthand information about the latest releases from the region’s award-winning wineries. These special tastings are held through exceptional area restaurants, and the selected wines are paired specifically with cuisine that will enhance your experience.

A few venues for Winemaker Dinners with James have been: In Napa: Brix, Morimoto and La Torque. In San Diego: Fleming’s, Mille Fleur, 067 Eatery, Pamplemousse , Roy’s, Ruth Chris and Sirens.
